Cute tiki bar

Banana’s Adventure Hostel knows exactly where the best conversations start and that is why they’ve included a beautiful tiki bar at the centre of their hostel. Located slap bang in the middle of the grounds, this extensive bar is the perfect shady spot to enjoy a chilled beer.

Offering everything from cocktails to hot chocolate with marshmallows, this is one bar that is sure to fulfil your every craving! Breakfast is offered here every morning and included within the room rate. There are numerous options to choose from.

Refreshing swimming pool

Everyone knows that the heart of the hostel can always be found at its pool, if they are lucky enough to have one of course! At Banana’s, tubes float on the water just begging to be jumped in and there are numerous sun loungers alongside for those hoping to catch some rays or get lost in their favourite book. Shared showers are located close by for convenience and towels are available to rent from reception. With the powerful Huacachina sun bearing down at all hours, you will be especially grateful for this pool!

Delicious food

Not content with being just a hostel, Banana’s also has an incredible restaurant on site that is open to both guests and the public. They serve Peruvian dishes and popular international meals as well. The food offered here is delicious, I would definitely recommend trying the Fry Up Burger! It is also a great choice for vegans and vegetarians as there are options to suit all dietary requirements.

Tours included

Another awesome thing about Banana’s Adventure is that they include a tour in the room rate for every night you book in the hostel. This means that you can do Huacachina’s main attractions for no extra cost! There is a choice of three experiences which include dune buggy/sandboarding, Pisco and wine tasting or an evening barbecue buffet in the hostel.

During our visit, we checked out the dune buggy and sand boarding trip which was an absolute blast. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to fly over dunes with an experienced buggy driver and get your heart pumping as you zoom down the sand!

Variety of modern rooms

Offering both dorms and privates, Banana’s has options for all budgets. All rooms are light and spacious. The dorm rooms also afford plenty of space for sitting comfortably on the bottom bunk – something that is often neglected in hostels. There is the option of both ensuite rooms or those with shared bathrooms.

No matter which you choose, you will see that the standards of cleanliness at Banana’s are particularly high. Dorm beds start at 65 soles per night and the price of private rooms begins at 150 soles per night.

Banana’s Adventure Hostel ticks all the boxes for backpackers. It has a great social vibe which makes it easy to make friends with your fellow travellers. Aside from the bar and pool, there is also a huge garden in which to socialise as well as a TV with Netflix and PlayStation 3. Nothing helps break the ice like a cold beer and a match of Fifa after all!
